Vince Edwards was an American actor, director, and singer, best known for his role as Dr.

Ben Casey in the television series of the same name. He was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Italian immigrant parents Vincento Zoino and Julia Zoino. Growing up, Edwards had six siblings, including a twin brother.

During his school years, Edwards excelled in swimming and was part of the school team.
