Alfredo “Atom” L. Henares is a Filipino businessman with interests in media, real estate, electric power plants, water utilities, and pulp and paper manufacturing.
He is the son of Hilarion “Larry” Henares, Jr., a former government official, businessman and media personality.
In the broadcast industry, he is recognized as a co-founder of the defunct cult-favorite DWNU 107.5 FM, the first and only Philippine radio station that exclusively aired rock music from 1987 to 2010.
At present, he sits as vice president for television of the Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas.
As of August 2023, Henares is majority shareholder of broadcast company Progressive Broadcasting Corporation (PBC) with 61% shares.
His stakes in PBC have decreased by 9.2% compared to his 70.2% shares in 2016, when he served as chairman and president of PBC.
PBC owns the broadcast frequencies being used by television station UNTV and FM radio station
